I have had My S for only a week, but it was years in the making. I have followed this car since it first appeared in Autoweek April 1998. I was one of the first on the Mini web site. I even had my own e-mail address as Jill@mini.com. Patience was the plan. I drove my 93 car till the day Mean Mr. Bean arrived. So much has happened since it arrived.We even took a day off work to tour around visiting friends. And after only one week I have already won a contest on mini2.com, graphics from CooperFlags.com, and do I have plans for that.This Cooper S has transitioned me from driving to motoring!

Well, it was a beautiful weekend, so we took mean Mr. Bean motoring. The goal was to put on miles to get past the break in period. So, Mr. Bean went to Stone Mountain for a little spin. I think Mr. Bean was the main attraction at the park. You can always tell where Mr. Bean is parked by the crowd it draws. The day went so well, that we decided to take Monday off too. The car is so much fun to drive!

The day arrived, we finally were able to transfer "MRBEAN" plate to it's rightful place on Mean Mr. Bean. We acquired "MRBEAN" License plate over three years ago.....waiting for this day. Strange things happened on this road trip. During the past month prior to putting the MRBEAN plate on, we hadn't seen another Mini while out motoring. The day we placed the plate on, we saw 6 Cooper S Minis while on our road trip. What are the chances of pulling into a parking lot and the space next to you is another Cooper S with a personalized plate......It happened to us. This weekend we spent time up in the Georgia Mountains.

Well it's Mother's day weekend. I woke up to find Mr.Bean all waxed and polished. Such a nice surprise. Ready for another weekend of motoring.Only 200 more miles left of break in. Need to get these miles on this weekend. Next weekend we are taking a trip through the Georgia Mountains on up to Charlotte, so that our friends there can finally meet Mr. Bean. One of our friends has built their car on the Mini site. He is waiting to take Bean for a drive. I'll bet he'll hit that button to buy after he takes Bean for a spin.

Well, we finally hit the "1250" mark. We took a trip thru the North Georgia Mountains. Lots of curves and lots of FOG. It was fun watching people's reactions to seeing Mr. Bean...always a smile and a conversation. Our excursion took us into Charlotte, where we met up with our friends. Mr. Bean was well accepted. We took lots of pictures during our motoring. Sad part was we lost several of the pictures. Good part is we will just have to motor back up there to take them again.

Couldn't wait any longer. Went back up into the mountains to recapture the photos lost. Any excuse to go motoring. Stopped in Highlands, North Carolina at Buck's cafe for lunch and headed back home. At times we were stopped in the middle of the road by other car owners asking us about Mr.Bean.

We have been motoring so much that I had to add the category "Motoring" to my Quicken software.

Motored out to Road Atlanta to meet members of the club we just joined, the AtlantaMinis. We enjoyed seeing everyone and catching a few races. Mike from Mini USA was there to answer any questions we had. Thanks to the effort Barry put forth, the turn out was good. Mean Mr. Bean meet up with 26 other Kin Folk. Looking forward to more adventures as part of the AtlantaMinis.

Mean Mr. Bean makes it to featured resume. I am so excited. I have waited so long for this car and it has been a joy to own. This is just icing on the cake. Thank-you MiniUSA for making my life a motoring experience. The day couldn't have been better, I came home to a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my husband in celebration of this event.

Unknown to me, one of my co-workers was stopped at a traffic light and watched me turn onto the road in front of him. When he caught up with me outside at work, he mentioned that he had never seen anyone in such a hurry to get to work. My response was: "I'm just here for the drive......I love taking the corners!".

Waiting on Mean Mr. Bean's transformation. Dropped off the artwork at Amazing Graphics. Jim Rogers at Amazing Graphics has made it possible for Bean to reach a new level in creativitly and look.

I've been enjoying Mean Mr. Bean & this website so much, that it inspired me to create
a book about the passages of Mr. Bean. It was great to have a long weekend to get a good start on it and still have time for motoring.

Well Mr. Bean has his new look with his Chiquita decals.
I sometimes think he could have been a Nick Park clay animation. Who knows, he might show up some day with Chevron decals. I must admit, it sure is nice having a husband that is a Graphic Artist and enjoys this car as much as I do. This car is way too much fun!

Mr. Bean meets the Kin Folk for a Brew & Conversation at the 5 Seasons Brewery. It was very nice of Dennis to let us have a Mini Meet at his Brewery. We had a chance to enjoy the company of many new faces. Mean Mr Bean & Maxwell sat back and enjoyed a few brews. It was a good time for everyone.He was the Mini-Chiquita this week.....Who knows what he will be next?

I have acquired a new hobby......watching people smile.

My husband has noticed a change in me since I got my Mini. I used to come home from work with a look of frustration and talk of the troubles of the day. Now I can’t help but come home from work with a big smile on my face and talk of my adventures on the road. This car is too much fun!

Mean Mr. Bean meets Weird Al Yankovic. Great Road trip. Bean had his first back seat passenger review. Amber said the ride in back was great. Bean was dressed to the max. We had so much fun with the Mini. Mean Mr. Bean sure made stardom that weekend. People would drive up next to us on the E-way and take pictures. We even had people follow us off exits just to see where we stopped, so that they may have a chance to take a picture next to the car.We were even giving out autographed pictures. The concert was great! But the road trip was the most fun. Even Bermuda Schwartz from the band gave Mean Mr. Bean a thumbs up rating.

Took a long road trip to visit Northern Kin Folk.Drove straight to Indianapolis, just in time for a excellent steak dinner at St Elmo Steak House....hmmm 8 hours drive for a dinner like that, will have to do that again. Spent a little time in Hell. This turned out to be Bean's first international expedition. He was dresed with his Chiquita Decal. When coming back through US Customs the attendant commented, "So you are trying to enter the country in a banana?"

Couldn't pass up a photo op. Did a query on the Internet and found a restaurant called the "Mean Bean" about an hour away in Athens. Any excuse to Motor. Took a few photos, had an excellent lunch and came home on the back roads. We will be back!

Took Bruce Motoring in the mountains. We went again to Buck's Cafe for lunch and then did some touring. Stopped by Bean's old showering place, only to find that there had been a rock slide and was closed down......sure glad we weren't under the falls when that happened.
